Per iniziare puoi dirci in che modo ti sei avvicinato alla produzione musicale ed all’arte del djing?

In realtà il mio approccio con la consolle è avvenuto in maniera abbastanza atipica credo.Non sono mai stato un grosso amante del clubbing in se,ed il mio percorso musicale,anche da ascoltatore,raramente ha seguito direzioni prettamente ballabili.Quindi onestamente non saprei dire perché ho iniziato a mixare dischi.E’ solo successo.
Forse solo per il gusto di vanificare i miei studi classici,di canto in particolare.
Passare dal mettere dischi di altri al cercare di creare qualcosa di personale,che ti rispecchi davvero,credo sia un qualcosa di piuttosto naturale.

Come definiresti/descriveresti la musica che ami proporre?

Malessere che suona male.
Mi piace enfatizzare frequenze anomale,persino che disturbino a volte.
Più che all’arrangiamento sono molto più interessato all’equalizzazione,al come suona un pezzo.
In definitiva per quello che mi riguarda non si tratta di canzoni,ma di cercare di catturare stati d’animo.Una sorta di istantanee degli stessi.

Potresti descriverci il tuo setup in studio? Con cosa produci musica attualmente?

Preferisco lasciare un alone di mistero a riguardo.
Non credo sia più molto importante cosa usi,ma come usi ciò che hai.
Cercare di creare un tuo personale metodo di lavoro anche se,meglio ancora,tecnicamente sbagliato.
Detto questo,utilizzo un mix di analogico e digitale in maniera poco ortodossa.

Dove hai registrato il podcast? E cosa puoi dirci in merito?

Il podcast è stato registrato nel mio studio,anche lì utilizzando sia vinile sia digitale.
Prima parte più educata,seconda parte più scortese.

Su cosa stai lavorando al momento?

Al momento sto lavorando al seguito del mio ep su Horizontal Ground e sto arrangiando un live degno di tale nome,in vista di alcune date nei prossimi mesi.

Chi o cosa è la tua maggiore ispirazione?

Non è una domanda facile a cui rispondere.
E’ ovvio e abbastanza banale dire che tutto è ispirazione,per quanto non credo sia una sorta di evento ultraterreno,qualcosa che magicamente scende su di te.
Bisogna lavorarci sopra,bisogna farsi trovare da essa.
Però potrei dire la lettura,il movimento post punk / early electronic passato e presente e la mia poca simpatia verso le meccaniche che fanno girare il mondo.

To start out, can you tell us how you got into djing and producing electronic music?

In fact my approach with the console occurred in a fairly atypical way,i guess.I’ve never been a big lover of clubbing itself,and my musical path,even as a listener,rarely followed purely danceable directions.So honestly i can not say why I started mixing records.It just happened.
Maybe just for the pleasure of nullifying my classical studies,singing in particular.
Switch from playing other people music to try to create something personal,I believe it is something quite natural .

How do you define/describe the music you make and play?

Discomfort that sounds badly .
I like to emphasize unexpected frequencies, even that are disturbing at times.
More than arrangement,i’m much more interested in eqing,in how a track sounds.
Basically for what concerns me is not about songs, but to try to capture moods.
A sort of snapshots of it.

Could you describe your current studio setup? What are you making music with?

I prefer to leave some mystery about it.
I don’t think it’s important what you use anymore, but how you use what you have.
Try to create your own personal way of working though , even better, technically wrong .
That said , I use a mix of analog and digital in an unorthodox way.

Where did you record this podcast and what can you tell us about it?

The podcast was recorded in my studio , also there using both vinyl and digital .
First part more educated , second part more unkind.

What are you working on at the moment?

At the moment I’m working on the follow up of my ep on Horizontal Ground and I’m arranging a proper live set, in preparation for some gigs in the next months .

Who/what is your biggest inspiration?

It is not an easy question to answer.
It ‘obvious and quite trivial to say that everything is inspiration , as I don’t think is some sort of otherworldly event , something that magically falls upon you .
You have to work on it , you have to be found from it.
But I could say reading , the post-punk / early electronic movement past and present and my lack of sympathy for the mechanics that make the world turn .
