Inauguriamo il nuovo anno regalandovi il podcast di Pablo Bolivar, il giovane artista spagnolo sempre diviso tra meraviglie ambient e sofisticate volte dance, cui nessuno ha mai proposto di stampare su supporto fisico quell’incredibile album che è Motion: The Ambient Works, capolavoro rimasto ad ondeggiare su frequenze digitali. Per electronique mette insieme un mix ambient soave ed armonioso, musica che vi introdurrà al nuovo anno nella maniera più semplice possibile.

Per iniziare puoi dirci in che modo ti sei avvicinato alla produzione musicale ed all’arte del djing?

E’ stato nel 1994, ho iniziato a suonare delle musicassette per hobby con la musica registrata dalla radio, in seguito ho comprato i miei primi giradischi nel 1997 e nel 2000 la mia carriera musicale.

Come definiresti/descriveresti la musica che ami proporre?

Deep Dance Music.

Potresti descriverci il tuo setup in studio? Con cosa produci musica attualmente?

Utilizzo Ableton per sequenziare Virus, una Yamaha DX7, Atruria Laboratory e dei drum sample. Stò utilizzando un Motu 10 canali collegato ad un Mixer Mackie 2404 ed un multieffetto TC Electronics. Tutto passa per una bella coppia di Dynadio BM12.

Dove hai registrato il podcast? E cosa puoi dirci in merito?

Il podcast è stato registrato a Meruelo, in casa mia insieme a Jaime Ruiloba. Questo è parte dei Mind Groove Series, dei mix che registro insieme a lui. Ci piace avere insieme in un mix i nostri brani ambient preferiti.

Su cosa stai lavorando al momento?

Abbiamo finito di registrare il nostro album come Pulshar, poi io sto’ lavorando ad alcuni ep dance e concettualizzando il mio nuovo album ambient.

Chi o cosa è la tua maggiore ispirazione?

La musica, farla con amore e passione, e la natura.

To start out, can you tell us how you got into djing and producing electronic music?

It was around 94, i started playing as a hobby with tapes, with music recorded from the radio. I bought my first turntables on year 97, later i started sound engineering, and in 2000 my professional music carer begun.

Could you describe your current studio setup? What are you making music with?

I use Ableton to sequence a Virus, a Yamaha Dx7, an Arturia Laboratory and drums samples. Iam using a Motu 10channels connected to a Mackie 2404 mixer using a TC Electronic external multi efx. Everything goes out through a beautiful couple of Dynadio BM12.

Where did you record this podcast and what can you tell us about it?

It was recorded in Meruelo, my home town, together with my friend Jaime Ruiloba. This is part of The Mind Groove Series i use to records with him. We like to have our favorite ambient tracks together in a mix.

What are you working on at the moment?

We have finished Pulshar’s new album, now iam working in some club-tunes and at same time starting with the concept of my next ambient album.

Who/what is your biggest inspiration?

The Music do it with love, with passion and the nature.
